    Hello there,

I am new to DVD burning and I have a few questions and they are as follows:

    1. I have been told by audio/video salespeople that DVD-RAM recorders that work with your television allow you to "delete" recorded shows before burning (not sure if the term is finalizing) the DVD and I was wondering if this is similar with DVD burners for the PC.

    2. I also would like to get suggestions on which DVD burner(s) are the best value for performance and as well for bundled software as I might want to do some minor video editing.

    RGDS & TIA

1.Yes,DVD-RAM acts like a HD and will last longer than a DVD/RW but a DVD/RW is faster and cheaper.Another problem with using DVD-RAM is few(LG,Toshiba, etc) DVD writers can read it,make sure your writer supports DVD-RAM.
2.Buy a retail version as opposed to OEM because they included more software,as for what model to buy look to the left in "DVD Writers" for comments and specs.
