  1. Can a bluetooth device be hooked up to a PC or TV and be used in place of a speaker? If so, is there a specific type I should be looking for? Because I see drivers and sales rep talking in them and doubt those are for entertainment.

Depends what the Bluetooth design modes are. All in the manual.

Most TV sets and PC's with Bluetooth use it to send audio to external speakers/headphones.

  3. I feel there is something missing. The bluetooth package I looked at only has the earpiece itself. What other thing am I suppose to get to connect to the computer? Because a wireless mouse would have the mouse and a USB thing so it can send signals.

If your computer doesn't have Bluetooth built in, you can add it with a PCI card, card slot or USB adapter.

  6. Thanks. Turns out the bluetooth device I looked at does have a USB thing, but it was not shown on the cover. Also how is bluetooth supported on a TV without built-in support? There is no USB port on the TV.

As edDV said, PC can add on a card or USB to add Bluetooth xmitter which send to BT receiver in speakers. TVs that don't already have BT xmitter built-in can NOT get an add on (maybe if has USB, but not likely).

Most of the "single earpiece" BT receivers are NOT meant for this usage, only "hands-free" usage. There are separate, more costly BT receivers that use 2 channels, not just 1. Those are the ones edDV and I are referring to.
