  1. hi, I know there are lots of topics about this but I haven't found exactly what I need...
Here is the thing, I know that VCD, SVCD and KVCD files are playable with a DVD player, so Is there any way to add subtitles to this files for also be viewed on a dvd player, isn't possible to add the subtitles and then saving the file again.

    thanx,

FAR EASIER to upconvert from KVCD/VCD to DVD,
and add subtitles to the authored DVD project,
    then what you are asking.

  4. well I found out that ffmpegx let me add subtitles when making a SVCD, KVCD file, but If I already have the SVCD, KVCD file converting it again to KVCD in order to add subtitles will re-encode the movie again so it will loose more quality?

    thanx

If you go the way of SVCD, you could add OGM subtitles, which are switchable and aren't burned into the video. Guides are available here on how to incorporate them. However, most if not all of them are PC-based. Also, your player may not accept OGM subtitles, even if they're authored correctly. Some do, some don't.

You're better off getting a ~$50 DVD burner...
