    Hi everyone.

On my dvd's remote control pad, when I'm in my main menu and I push a number button it takes me to one of the switched menus linked to my root menu. I don't want it to do that, but instead, link directly to playing a movie, and I want to be able to do this from in the middle of watching a movie as well. (For instance if i'm in the middle of watching movie 3 and push button number 8 on my remote, I want it to jump to the beginning of movie 8.) How can I re-assign which number buttons go where? I know it must have something to do with all that GPRM stuff, but I can't make sense of it all. Can anyone please help?

I'm a complete newb when it comes to dvd's and authoring but a pro at converting to mpg's. (Was a hard core vcd maker until I recently got a dvd burner.) Anyway, I have a season of 20 tv episodes and made my first successfull dvd with tripped out menus and everything using dvdlab pro (switched menus, motion menus, intro menus, play lists, end disk command at the end of play, and even a sorta sleep timer thingy... lots of bells and whistles.) And it's all thanks to this wonderfull site and the many many MANY guides that I read that made my first attempt at authoring such a success right out of the gate. So THANKS to you all!

Number to menu item correlation is probably based on the order of the menu buttons, which you can set within DVD Lab Pro when deisgning the menu. If you set up a link to auto-play it's asset then theoretically, pressing the button that equals that menu item should start that asset immediately. I have never tried this, so I can't guarantee it will work.

As for navigation from within one movie to another movie - can't be done. You might be able to use chapter playlists to simulate it to a degree, but it won't be what you want.
