  1. Well I tried to flash my Sony DDU1621 to region free and I might have missed something or another, I just tried to follow the instructions as best as I could. Now my computer doesn't detect my DVD drive. At the startup, it says ATAPI incompatible (it was on Sec Master) Now I have disabled it and switch my CD-RW to the sec master. Can my DVD drive be saved?

If i have to get a new one? What should I get and if I have to region hack it again, can someone help? I don't want to screw it up again.

DVD drive for PC? Why, ASUS has a drive that can be made region free by simply removing a jumper.

the lite-on is great to, bought one for my son. A 16x for $49 from best buy, the box says buslink but it is a lite-on. And it burns everything well.

Lite-on is another good one, I have a 12x that I passed on to my son when I got a new 16x, it has worked great for over a year, and rips almost as fast as my new sony. You can pick the lite-on 16x up at shows for under $50.
