    Hello again!

I was always following this guide : https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/153058.php, whenall of a sudden, I can't seem to let the subs show themselves. However when I play this file (currently renamed video.avi and the sub is video.srt) on Media Player Classic, the Direct VobSub icon appears on the Quick Launch, hence the subs show. But when I try to encode it via TMPEnc 2.524(I got the latest one BTW) and upped the priority of the DirectShow, as instructed, when I preview it, the subs doesn't show.

This has confused me to no end, as my previous attempts were right on the money. Can anybody help me? Big thanks in advance!

TMPGEnc seems to have issues with directvobsub.
    Try doing it via avisynth
    avisource("video.avi")
    textsub("video.srt")
or if it is something that ffdshow can decode, enable subs in that.

I enabled ffdshow and disabled VobSub, but the same thing still happens

EDIT: Tried avisynth too, but I suck at it ...

I'm currently encoding a movie with a seperate subtitle file with DIKO, I will post back to tell you if it's worth trying out.

DIKO I believe uses AVISynth, so it should work fine.

    Is DIKO noob-friendly?

Yes, just check out help while configuring it, i just used it to encode a movie that was split over two avi's and two subtitle files and it worked very well.
