Probably the easiest way to setup DVD Rebuilder is to use the Rockas installer. The installer has the freeware goodies required and will set the paths for you (my experience, using the Pro version of DVD-RB and the retail version of CCE Basic).

Try reading the guide avilable for download or the help file included with DVD-RB, for a change this help file is very good and will explain at lot of what you need to know
This is the link for the help file i:

Try these links for more information once you get the hang of things :

Also, reading the AVISynth help on its homepage regarding filters, there are plenty of filters that are very good at what they do, but bear in mind the better filters take a very, very long time -

The pro version has extra settings that are not available in the free version, the pro version is also released much sooner than the latest free version so has extra featires that won't eb in the free version for quite a while
Its well worth getting the pro version

To add to what Steptoe said ... HURRY!
DVD Rebuilder Pro is at RC2 status ... once it goes 'gold', the Pro version will become a commercial product, with a price tag higher than what many (I imagine) have donated. jdobbs will continue to offer a freeware version, but without all the 'bells & whistles' of the Pro version.
Get it ... you'll like it! -
Anyone know of any guides that are up to date. The other guides are old and a lot of the changes to the software isnt in the guides...anyone know of anything?
I tried setting it up as best as I can by going off the guides that are available but I keep getting errors.
"Encoding resulted in no .M2V"
etc
etc

actually the Pro version is at RC5.1. I began with the free version and was quickly hooked on the quality (using CCE Basic) and now I have journeyed with this amazing prog since. AWE-SOME. I have used HC Hanks encoder (probably the best free encoder out there!) that comes with Rebuilder Pro and free version as well. Does a super job, yet once you use CCE you'll see the difference, especially on the 16X9 HDTVs. Yes, once you set it up it is pretty automatic. ANy questions just let me know and I'll try to help! It also allows you to take a 4:3 letterbox image and make it anamorphic 16X9. Totally awesome!
