  1. Hi

I would like to change size of text (fonts) in subtitles in format .srt.
    How can I do that?

Well as far as I know srt doesn't allow for any text formating of that kind. If you were to include it in an mkv file then you should be able to attach a font file for use. The size I would think though is still decided by the renderer.

You could use subtitle workshop to change the display font size. I had to do this in a subbed anime whose source was HDTV, so the default font size could barely be seen when re-coded to DVD compliance.
    occasionally larger than 255 characters

Can't be done with .srt It's all up to the renderer.

.ssa subtitle format supports fonts and positioning. Will your player use these settings if it accepts .ssa at all? Who knows.
