    Ok, has anyone done a comprehensive comparison between the 642/17 (M series) and the 642/37 (E series)?

    The only diff I can see is a better tray mechanism (MUCH smoother & quieter on the E series).

    Has anyone been able to go BACK a version of two on the E series?

    Anyone still running an M series with the 0531 firmware, could you please advise what speeds a VCD/SVCD will FF/RW at? (I *swear* I remember it being 2x,4x,6x,8x just like AVIs!)

    FF/RW speed of DVP642/17 M 0531:
    - VCD & SVCD: 1x/2x/3x/4x
    - DVD & DivX/XviD file: 2x/4x/6x/8x

    I don't have any DVP642/37, so I have no idea about differences.
