Most computer speakers have their own amplifier. You may be able to hook them to a receiver through the 'Line Out' or 'Monitor' RCA jacks.

You would need a stereo RCA male plug to a stereo 1/8" phone female jack adapter. You can probably get one at a stereo store or similar. DO NOT try to use the speaker outputs of the receiver.

If you are trying to get 5.1 sound from your reciever, this won't do it, at least with just stereo sources.

need to know the specifications of the speakers
need to know the specifications of the receiver (what types of signal is it capable of generating and more importantly, what kind of outputs does it have)
most likely, yes, it will be quite easy to connect the speakers to the receiver -- just plug 'em in!
but as redwudz said, this may or may not give you 5.1 sound.

PC speaker systems are a bitch, and just about every brand has their own fucked up idea of how they should operate and be connected.
whereas normal home theatre systems are all configured pretty much the same way. none of this green plug, pink plug, orange plug bullshit -- the front right speaker connects to the front right output, the subwoofer connects to the terminal labled "SUBWOOFER".

shit, just connecting my PC's sound card up to my receiver's 5.1 inputs was a pain in the ass (back to that whole multi-colored plug bullshit), especially since the damned outputs on the card were labled incorrectly.
