  1. can anyone confirm that dvd2one will not transcode if the original file size is under a DVD5?

  2. Positive! No compression if original size fits on DVD +/-R.

    In all honesty, there's probably no need to even use DVD2One if the original file size is under a DVD5. Just rip to HD, and burn, or use DVD Decrypter ISO Read / ISO Write.

    You might be right. But I'm kind-a-lazy and so I just use DVD2One in conjunction with AnyDVD and CopyToDVD. Almost a one-click-solution. And if the source is DVD-5 or DVD-9 - who cares... I always get the best result with the same method. No need to make it complicated. Set it and forget about it.
