Hi, i've been making dvds for a while now but recently i have run into some playback problems. When i convert xvid, vcd or svcd encoded files to dvd they only work on a computer or my xbox. When played in any other dvd player the screen flickers like a vhs with really bad tracking. I thought maybe it was pal so i tried converting it to ntsc but that didnt work, i've demuxed the files and then re-encoded them into dvd format that didnt work either.
What im asking is what is the reason they wont play? and is there a way to convert these files to standard dvd files that can be read by all
I thought maybe they just cant be played because i know most dvd players arent divx/xvid or vcd compatible but i thought converting them to dvd got rid of that problem and also i have had some svcds play in the past so im just really confused. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
