  4. No. What you're asking isn't possible. I've posted about this elsewhere. Playable video DVDs conform to the UDF 1.0.2 version, while a multisession DVD-R/w uses UDF version 2.0.1. The two UDF versions are entirely different file formats. Briefly, UDF 2.0.1 uses a form of packet writing with boclks written at the end of every session to identify properties of the session, including whether it gets played or not. This is how you can edit a DVD-R/W disc on a DVD recorder, and it also lets you do multiple sessions. The file format of UDF 1.0.2 doesn't allow any of that, so you can't edit a UDF 1.0.2 video DVD directly on a DVD recorder. You have to rip it VOBs or VORs and edit using Womble.

What you're asking for just isn't possible for basic reasons.

Multisession dvd-rw are possible. But only for svcd's. I just went on doing it in the dvd-rom 'template' of Nero Burning. I have a lot of small video clips and now I've found out that I can archive them on a dvd-rw.
The original format of my clips are AVI-files (3770 fr). I open them in Power Director, edit them and convert them to mpeg-files. And then I burn them with Nero (multisession) in dvd-rw. So far it works.
Now I'm in the process of finding out the maximum mpeg2 bitrate for my standalone dvd-recorder. Power Producer has a 'custom' profile setting for the conversion.
Multisession VOB (dvd) files are not possible. But mpeg2 are...
    Thanks for the UDF-information.
