    hi...i recently upgraded my internet speed with ntl and now my mate wants to do the same,when he followed the links from ntl they told him ..could not validate connection use of proxy server, i think he uses yahoo,how does he re.establish ntl as his proxy server... thanks alot

    If using IE, go to Tools > Internet Options, then go to the Connections tab, then click on LAN Settings. I've highlighted the proxy server section as shown in the pic below (fill this in with ntl's proxy server ip) :




    Any other browser will have something similar - just look for Settings or Preferences in the menus.
    If in doubt, Google it.
