I have bit of problem here. I have, a building, with the wire networking. I has a DSL, or Cable modem. It has connect to a Linksys wire Ethernet Router for Broadband Internet. It works good. It connects to some of the rooms with the wire and the wall plates in other rooms.
But now I am in room that want wirless, try to connect the wirless router to the wall jack. The jack of wall connect to the Linksys Wire Ethernet Router for Broadband Internet. It plug into the wall, and plug the other end of cord into "Internet" jack. (Blue one) The onther cord is connect to the computer. When we do this, internet broken. When computer connect plugin straigt to the wall, internet works.
Does anyone know what to do or actually even possible? Is stupid try to connect 2 routers?
Thanks.

It can be done. You may be getting an IP conflict between the two routers. Some routers default to 192.168.1.1 and some default to 192.168.0.1. You can connect the wireless router directly to a PC and set the IP address to something like 192.168.2.1 and set it to obtain it's external IP automatically (which will come from the other router via DHCP once you hook it up to the rest of the network). Once you've configured the wireless router and reconnected it to the network you should be all set.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
I'm just guessing, but the router is probably looking for an internet address connection and what you have is a intranet address connection that your first router outputs. You could use a switch in place of the second router. Or some one help me here?
I found this from a Google search for '2 routers':http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=using+2+routers+&btnG=Google+Search'
Looks like it could get complicated.
EDIT: Looks like ViRaL1 may have it figured out. -
Nope. It still dosen't work.
I might bring it back. It too confusing to work. I thought I would plug in and go. -
Linksys internet site went down!
What kind of tech support is that?
This thing going back tomorrow morning for sure if not work tonight. -

I've setup computers with 6 NICs and 1 wireless. -

Set the Default Gateway of the wirelss router to the IP address of the original router, if that option is available. It sounds like you forgot to or haven't done this yet. Another option is to get a wireless hub or access point. These don't use NAT, which is what your router is ucrrently using.

It also may help if you say how you connected the wireless "router" to you wired "router" (i.e. the configuration) instead of saying the "(Blue one)"
Also, it may help if you told the wireless "router" where the wired "router" was (aka IP address)
BTW2, I hope you can understand what I typed, because I've had 12 pack in the past hour and a half -

Router/Switch/Firewall/Webserver is a little more than a router
In any event, you got it working -
Usually if you have a “wired” router, you add access points and not routers. But the solution you used also works.
