  1. Do all wmv editors convert (render) wmv files to avi before allowing us to edit them? Or, perhaps another way to ask is:

Is there a wmv editor that accpets wmv files >>> keeps the files as wmv files throughout the editing process >>> and then exports them as wmv files?

I'm using Adobe Premiere 1.5 right now. The wmv files I need to edit are 2.x GB in size. First, it takes between eight and ten minutes to conform audio and then almost three hours to render the file to avi? Do any wmv editors out there skip this process or am I just going to have to accept this as part of working with such large files?

    Thanks!!!!
