have samsung dvd recorder model dvd-r4000..i made a dvd r disc from tv program, finalized it and it plays back on the tv..but i wanted to edit the disc on computer but it will not play back on my dell 4500
it says"windows cannot read from the disc..it may be corrupted" or else it just sits in the dvd-rom drive with the green light blinking.
why is this? ive tried several tv recorded discs

What brand/model is your Dell DVD drive?
I read on the Dell website message boards that some of their drives may require firmware updates to read DVD-R disks. You might want to look
into that.
Also, what software are you using to view the DVD on the PC?
My drive came with PowerDVD.
