HI everyone!
im about to start my first website and so far i tried some flash website creation packages.
the problem is that they wont let me input my own pictures. it only allows for a logo pic.
i have an account with www.imageshack.com so i hosted my pics there i copied pasted the pics code to the flash creation package but it still wont display any pics when viewing the site.
does anyone know how i can solve this?
thanks

I'm not following you, I haven't used too many flash animators but the ones I have worked similar to a video editor. The image files become part of the SWF file. Matter of fact my editor has the ability to output to flash.Originally Posted by ricardouk

ok. i tried trendyflashsite builder and a4desk but both programs wont allow me to put pictures together with text.
i will post a screenshot its better
im posting this screenshot using the code imageshack gave me when uploading this pic

im wondering if by inserting this same code while writting my text in any of the flash website tools it will show the picture as its shown here?
i tried but it doesnt work.I love it when a plan comes together! -
I have no idea what I'm looking at....... anyhow the alt="........" can be removed. That provides alternate text for people with browsers that don't load images such as the visually impaired, this is not part of flash.
Have you tried linking it to an image on your machine? The code your listing there is for HTML pages and since I have no idea how you point it to the source I really can't give you any advice. The app I linked to above works from your machine, insert image>pick image> it's inserted......
Edit: BTW AFAIK if your trying to have the SWF file display a linked image you can't do that, SWF is like a video file it has to be part of the file. -
Thanks coalman
guess my english is a bit crap in this area
i will try to post something more clear with better english
your link is to create flash animations i already have a proggy for that.
thanks for your helpI love it when a plan comes together! -
Looked at the directions pretty quick...... your limited to the placeholders on the company information page.
http://www.a4desk.com/help/Home_Page_Panel_2.html
Edit: Although a program like that is nice for the novice it's very limiting, try the HTML editor from the same company I listed above in that link. It has a WYSIWYG interface that is similar to working with Word, for that matter you can use word as well to create pages but I wouldn't reccommend it. You can create pages however you like, it will generate the code for you. It even has a very limited flash designer among many other features. -
yes thats it!
since i post my screenshots here using imageshack i was hoping that i could do the same trick with a4desk (put the image code, save the website, upload it and everytime someone looked at that page they wouldnt see the image code but the image itself like i did with the screenshot in one of my previous post
thanks coalmanI love it when a plan comes together! -

That flash animator I listed above can do almost evething that the current program you have does, the only thing that I see it can't do is a scrolling. It will give you much more flexibility though.Originally Posted by thecoalman -
just downloade the free trial of that program
will explore it this afternoon
one more time, thanks for your helpI love it when a plan comes together! -
The one I linked to above just builds flash animations which can build an entire site if you wanted flash only, personally I hate all flash sites, if you want to build a site try this which I mentioned above too:Originally Posted by ricardouk

Yes you can. I'm not sure if the programs you are using allow you to but it can be done.Originally Posted by thecoalman
Oh, and I agree with thecoalman here. For the love of god, do not do a site completely in flash! His name was MackemX

Linked to or it displays in the animation? I don't know much about flash or it's capabilities so I really don't know, just curious.Originally Posted by Conquest10
That app he was using was a one of those template based site builders... add image here, add text here, the flash aniamtin as far as I could tell was limited to the links changing color and the pictures fading from one to the other. -
It can be both linked to open in a new window or display in the frame.Originally Posted by thecoalmanHis name was MackemX
