I recently ordered some DVD's off ebay, and when I got them I realized that they were bootleged (no wonder they were so cheap). I watched it, and near the end the disk began to skip badly. I put the disk into my computer, and analyzed it, and around 93%, in DVD Shrink, the cyclic redundancy check error came up. On the disk there is a burn mark, like when you burn a disk and that area looks like a splotch thats a different color than the rest of the disk. The user on ebay canceled their account, so there is no way I can get a replacement, is there any way that I can fix this myself? Help is appreciated!

No way to fix it if the data in chunked, however I would follow up on reporting this person to eBay and if a return address is included on the packaging a call to the local authorities might help prevent others from getting screwed. You don't have to take this lying down and accepting your loss. You can fight back and secure the rights of the copyright owners and prevent this person from harming others.
