  1. I think this will not have a great deal of use. It obviously will only work at low light levels which is extremely limiting.

Now this I like, but dread to think how much it will cost. Probably an arm and a leg to buy! I also have reservations on reliability as the leads to the key displays will be being continually flexed so they could possibly suffer from metal fatigue after a few thousand flexures.

The article also states that iBIZ would be selling the keyboard for $99 in the first qurter of 2004. I just checked iBIZ's website and they make no mention of the iBIZ Virtual Laser Keyboard. It turns out they were blocked from marketing by a lawsuit.

The keyboard is available, just not from iBIZ - and it now costs $199.

So when is Apple going to sue iBIZ Technology Corporation?
Or is iBIZ sufficiently different from iBiz?
Or will iBIZ sue Apple since they've been iBIZ since 1979?

  10. According to those articles Apple does not own the iBiz name. IGG Software renamed their iWorks software to iBiz to avoid a conflict with Apple. It is expected that Apple will use iWorks as the name of their office suite.

So the likely trademark infringement case will be iBIZ Technology Corporation vs IGG Software.

Thinking about the laser one, & how people are trying to make keyboards more comfortable due to all the secretaries with carpol tunnel. All you'd need to do is create a mat that form fits to your hands, and project the laser. interesting thought
