Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard problem with Vista
I have an Apple Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard and a Logitech V270 Bluetooth Mouse.
These devices were working fantastic in XP using default drivers.
Now in Vista Logitech mouse will only work after installing Logitech drivers.
I pair apple keyboard putting 8 number passkey (I have tested number combinations from 4 to 8 ). Vista recognizes the keyboard and pair with it. But after a few seconds Windows forgets the passkey. This happens in my MacBook 2 running Vista Home x86 and in my desktop running Vista ultimate x64.![]()
Since I´m started using Logitech own drivers the fact of not having a passkey is not a problem for the mouse anymore.
But with the keyboard I´m still having problems.
After pairing the keyboard with a passkey, windows forgets the key and the keyboard still works..
When I reboot the keyboard it is not recognized anymore.
So I have to pair it again...
This is getting very annoying...
For a moment I though this was caused by faulty MAC drivers, so I tested my dongle form my Thinkpad laptop and tested a Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard elite that a friend used in XP.
Well, I had the same problem with this Microsoft keyboard and the Bluetooth USB dongle that I use in XP. The same problem in both Vista Home x86 and Vista Ultimate x64.
Any ideas![]()

Problem fixed under Vista. I just choose Windows to assign the pass key.

Another development in this matter...
Since my grilfriend has a MacBook running Vista, I deciced to install Bootcamp drivers in the desktop running Vista that has the apple keyboard. Well the diver worked and now I have native Windows suport for all keys in this apple keyboard.
Something to remember is that you need Boot camp 1.3 beta or higher for this to work.
