I'm trying to rip ET the 20th Anniversary edition. I've tried it using my usual method (SmartRipper) but that doesn't work. I've tried with a couple of other programs (DVDFab and DVD Decrypter) but they aren't working either. What keeps happening is that I only get 1:36:00 of video but about 2 hours of audio. I think the same thing happened with the Incredibles too. Weird thing is that the file size is over 5GB so it must be more than an hour and a half of video.

I'm using Cuttermaran to clip the video into two pieces. Could it be the problem?

Has anyone else had success ripping these DVDs? Is it something about the copy protection that I'm missing?

OK, that's pretty disappointing. What would you suggest for a clipper instead?

    You cannot.

The video is too complex right now unless your extract all the streams one by one. Maybe some of those special DVD editing softwares, things like DVD Shrink but more complex. MPEG editors and NLE's won't work here.
