  1. Hopefully this belongs in restoration?
    Re: JVC HR-s9911U
I'm thinking I can always go to NYC on Sunday to B & H Photo or J & R Music World and pick it up. However being in Central NJ if I can save the tolls on the Turnpike & Lincoln/Holland Tunnel + Gas for the car I'd rather do that.

So I'm hoping someone knows a vendor that has either Friday or Sunday hours? I know weird days off

I have a bunch of VHS Back to the original MagVid release of M*A*S*H VHS + Some Beta to convert to DVD. Since I already have a TBC-1000 TBC and a Vidicraft Detailer II and a (Ahem) Archer Video color processor form the Detailer II days (Not tested yet) that is supposed to handle Intensity, Chroma, Burst, & Hue adjustments Model 15-1275, I know not the best brand but back in the 80's what did I know Anyway I'm hoping that my kit for handling most tape problems will be complete with the addition of the JVC. I'll be capturing with the Pioneer DVR-531H DVD recorder or if needed into the computer with my ADVC - 100.

I think the JVC VCR will let me have all the bases covered in an fairly economical basis.

Any other piece of equipment I need feel free to let me know. I was reading the posts here and from the screen caps in one it looks like the Combination of the JVC and the TBC-1000 should clear up most stability problems? And hopefully the Detailer II and the Archer will handle any other problems. I can not find that post tonight but it showed how the combining of a 9911U and TBC-1000 cleared up most of the problems. The one I'm thinking of is where straight lines going up and down rather than horizontally are not even near straight.

    Thanks

B&H uses UPS, I don't see why you can'y request a Friday delivery. I'm here in NEPA and everthing I ordered from arrived in 2 days using 3 day ground. One shipment was here in 1 day. 8)

  3. Well I couldn't order Thursday Day simply because I never carry a credit card unless I'm anticipating using it. I didn't decide to buy until we were slow at work so I started going through the messages here and came to the decision that the JVC would work, Then came research on the web. By the time I got home tonight (work til 7PM) to late to order. Since I'd like to use it on my day off, Really Friday & Sunday. And Since NYC traffic on a weekday is a killer sunday looks like it. So, so far my Sunday looks like Mow the lawn (Better weather than friday) then go to NYC unless I can come up with a New Jersey Vendor.

Otherwise your idea would have worked since we are a overnight ship via ups from NYC.

    Cheers
