    Read between the lines ...

DVDSanta is more than likely the thing you did wrong. It is crapware on the most part, as are quite a few of the all-in-wonderful-1-click-clueless-noob softwares that are out there. DivXToDVD is probably the best one I've seen, but it still doesn't compare to doing it properly - using a dedicated encoder and authorer.

This hobby ain't easy - you take shortcuts and you'll get the results you deserve
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. i noticed the same thing with dvdsanta the other day
as home vid was only 12 minutes not really a big deal

the TDK TTG02 8x dvd-r i use seems pretty good media
works fine in all the drives iv tried it in including an old Playstation 2 and a new slim playstation 2 which are supposedly picky

the file fast forwards fine when playing back on pc

im sure ill start using a better converter soon
maybe tmpeg to encode and tmpegdvd to author
need to do some reading on it

was forced to try an all in one (dvdsanta) as i needed the disk quickly to take out with me

will give it credit in that the picture was good and it was quick

copying DV AVI to hard drive
    installing dvd santa and encoding
    burning with nero

only took 30 minutes to have a finished fully working dvd
