  1. I am looking for a system (or components) that will transfer video wirelessly from my TV to my computer via WLAN. All the media centers are saw enable video transfer from the PC to the TV. I wish to remotely record programs. I don't have a TV card on my computer but I do use the AVDC-100 of Canopus and the Linksys state of the art power booster WAN technology. Any help or ideas will be welcomed.

  2. The television needs to be hooked up to a device to send out the stream to the PC. Regardless you need some kind of tuner card (external/internal) to do the job. I have the same setup that you want but vice versa, I send the feed wirelessly to my Laptop from downstairs and then output to my tv. And even then my laptop is connected to the television.

    Heres my suggestion:

Hook up your tv to a laptop (any laptop), using the laptop as your server (wiresless server), and hook a d-link wireless router to it. Then using your pc (anywhere), make it connect to the wireless router (keep note that ur computer needs to have a wireles pci card installed. Then use VLC Media player to stream the video from the tv to the laptop (server), and receive it from any pc in the world.

The laptop /w router acts as the client server. Thats my best option. Unless your planning on waiting untill televisions come with wireless feeds

  3. Tks for the reply. Maybe there is a better way to down stream video from a remote computer. For example the Linksys or d-link media centers. One pcs of hardware does everything but unfortunately only PC to TV. I was looking for something identical which can also transmit the program from the TV (tuner/cable) by WLAN so it can be seen and recorded on the remote PC.
