  1. Ok, I really have searched the forums for some help on this, but all the guides and topics seem to be directed on combining or adding subtitles in. In my case, I have .OGM files with english subtitles that I want to completely remove. When I play my video, its in english with english subtitles. I need to figure out how to get rid of the english subtitles so its just english audio. Ive tried encoding using both TMPGENC 2.5 and 3.0Xpress both of them end up converting perfectly, but its just that the subtitles are bothersome.
Please, all assistance with this is greatly appreciated, Ill be gone for a few hours, so please don't think I abandoned my own thread.
    Thanks,
    Dain

You can use the "clip frame" and cut off the bottom.

  3. These subtitles are encoded into the video, and not seperate streams? If seperate stream, they should be easy to remove. Sounds like this is not the case.

Crop off is about the best you can do, unless they are transparent and you have a lot of time to mess with it.

  4. Ok, well if they are encoded directly into the video then I guess Ill try the cropping. But how do I know? Its an .ogm file, and thats a container correct? And with VLC I CAN turn off the subtitles, its just that the default option is with them on, and thats what the TMPGENC always encodes...the default option first. What would I need to do if they were separate streams? Or how would I find out?
    Thanks!

  5. Not familiar with OGM, but if they can be turned off then they are a seperate stream. Should be able to remove them in the demux process.

  8. I fixed it, and I think this is the problem. At one point in time I had demuxed the subtitles with VirtualDubMod. I had thought that demux would mean to remove them, but I guess I was wrong. I deleted the subtitles file I made and basically made it so it was the original video files, and then it worked.
