Hi
I have some bin/cue files (vid. tutorials) that I only want to watch on my Mac. I don't care what format they end up in as long as I can have them in the smallest possible size and ... be viewable.
Is there anyway I can play these as they are or do they need to be converted? The bin is 720 MB.
Even if I can end up burning the end result as a .dmg which when mounted, contains a playable file using either QT or VLC. I have Toast, MPeg2Works, ffmpeg (can't remember what version) and 1 or 2 other apps which may be necessary.
Help much appreciated.![]()

I thought I would be able to play the files as they were but VLC keeps saying "vcd: no movie tracks found". This is happening on three different files. I have VLC v.0.8.2 (I'm running Tiger). Does VLC have a problem with VCD's? Is there something else I can try?
I have a few vid tutorials that I would like to burn to one DVD - keep them all together - which was why I was wondering about converting them - if that is necessary.
Thanks very much.

Maybe it's not a VCD image then. You could check the content of the disc image with Toast. Set Toast to Image File, then browse to your .bin file. Mount the image and check how it is authored in the Finder. VCDs should have a /MPEGAV/AVSEQ01.DAT .Originally Posted by imacaroon

Awesome!
Used Toast, mounted the image and now have my Tutorias inside - in .mov but .. no .DAT (that I can find).
Will this 722 MB burn to a CD? The files inside only come to 628 MB - is the extra 98 MB from Toast? Is it going to be too large and if so, how can I burn it? I don't mind skipping the idea I had about putting them on a DVD - just being able to play them now is great!
Thanks very much!
