Will an 8X Video Card work properly in a 4X AGP Slot? I'm building a myth box (www.mythtv.com) and I want to make sure the video card is not too advanced for the pc. I'm using an Intel P3 866 Processor with 512 Megs Of PC133 RAM. Below is a link to the pc specs ...

It certainly will, but chances are (maybe not with a weak card like the 9200) it could throttle back some performance...

Generally, a number of 8X cards do work in 4X AGP slots. However, they are limited to 4X.

I realize it will be limited to 4X but I need a more advanced card for the video capturing part of the myth box
