  1. well i noticed this happen with all of the vegas so far and its happening with this new v6b...... when i put certain .avi files that was encoded in xvid it wont preview or will it come up in the time line where i can edit it..... but i have no problem playing it on my computer...... whats going on??????

    XviD isn't a supported Vegas import format.

    You need to decompress it to something like huffyuv, DV or other supported codec and import that.

    From Vegas 6 Specs
    "Imports AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MOV, WMV, and a variety of still image formats"

    XviD is not one of the supported codecs.
