Farmer milks profits with cow water-beds

A US farmer is installing water-beds for his cows because he thinks comfortable bovines make more milk.

Each animal is enveloped in cushy softness when it lies down on the beds.

Farmer John Marshman has put 75 water beds in his barn in Syracuse near New York.

"The stalls with the water beds fill up faster than the other stalls," said Mr Marshman.

"Cows are just like everybody else. When they figure out something is more comfortable, that's where they'll go."

Doug Ford, a sales representative at Fisher Farms in Lenox, said when a cow gets up from a water bed, another cow immediately gets in and lies down.

"Sometimes, they'll stand there waiting for a cow to leave so they can get in on the water bed," Mr Ford added.

The water beds are made by a company called Georgia Duck and sold through Relative Products LLC in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

This is something Mrs Marsh bittely refutes, claiming that her husbands hairy chest resulted in the swift termination of their own sex life. Meanwhile his wealthy clients have bitterly resented the way that they to are referred to as cows

I was wondering about what these beds must look like after a while. I mean don't cows just take a dump wherever they happen to be?
