  1. I want a sequence of still shots from my movie. like a filmstrip.
    for example look at this webpage http://www.pdsoftec.com/screenshots.htm

    I want to create still shots of a baseball movement. I have studio 9 I can capture stills but I want it to do it automatic.

    I think Virtualdubmod (and possible any of the other virtualdub flavours) might be able to do what you want to do, although it's not really "automatic" - it does take a little bit of setting up.

    Say you wanted every 10th frame over a 2 minute period, between minutes 8 and 10 of your footage. Basically you load your file, set your in and out points by going to the start frame (8 minute mark) and then going to Edit > Set Selection Start, and your end frame by going to the end frame (10 minute mark) and then going to Edit > Set Selection End. then go to Video > Frame Rate, and select "Decimate by" and enter the number 10 in the preceeding box. Then go to file > Save As AVI, and this will save an AVI with every 10th frame over your 2 minute period. Then you can reload this new AVI, and go to File > Save image sequence, and output each frame of this new AVI to TGA, BMP or PNG.
