I have had a new Online DVD shop recommended to me by a guy who bought 10 DVDs, inc Sin City (Pre Order) and Constantine, for £44.
This seems remarkably cheap, even for, what must be, Region 3 DVDs. Now I'd imagine that, like most Region 3 DVDs, any extra material will be in Thai (thats where they're based) with badly translated subtitles at best.
Or are these cheap copies being passed up as originals ? The Sin City DVD is only £3.56.

Reading the FAQ, it sounds like they are selling typical bootleg DVD silvers. They warn that the discs won't play in all players and they offer "Deluxe" versions of certain movies with "more special features." Sounds like they are buying DVD9s and removing stuff and getting them repressed on DVD5s and selling them dirt cheap. You'll get what you pay for.

Looks wonderfully laid out, but a little digging and you find things like;
The movie won't play, or freezes mid-way!
These kinds of defects can happen, the quality control at the manufacture of these discs is not always very good. We try to test the discs as much as possible, but some defective ones still sneak through. Keep in mind also that some DVD players are more sensitive than others, so it is possible another player might play these discs fine. If you have another player handy (computer DVD drives, as well as Playstation 2 or X-Box consoles are among the most tolerant players around), please test them on there, and let us know the results.
Why are some titles "Deluxe"?
Deluxe titles have better video quality, especially for long movies, as well as usually more special features, audio tracks and subtitles. They also generally play more reliably on older/more sensitive DVD players.
Do you ship the plastic cases?
In order to save weight we ship only the discs and the printed covers. Plastic cases really cost too much to ship compared to their price, and you can probably find them near you at a good price. The proper name for these cases are Amaray cases.
Please note also that TV series and other multiple-disc sets are shipped WITHOUT any outer decorative box, just individual discs and covers.
But to top it all off.....
Shipping Methods (How do you Ship?)
<snip>
Additionally, an extra fee of US$5 will be charged for orders of less than 5 discs, to help cover for the extra shipping cost.
Personaly, wouldnt touch it with a bargepole.....and i would advise the same to anyone that asks.... -
on their forum it is stated they are all bootlegs ...
the same owner also runs a mp3 site and a vcd site ...
