I just got the Canopus ADVC300 and was wondering if the
JVC HR-S5900 that I have is a decent enough deck to use with this to start making conversions and restoring some of my old VHS tapes? Have all kinds of quality, some in excellent condidion, some in bad shape.
I hope this is a good combo.

It might be. Depends on the condition of the tapes. Some of the worse ones would likely benefit from the VCR's TBC.
To be honest, ALL VHS tapes have chroma flaws, and would benefit from a S-VHS VCR TBC.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I'm sorry, I copied and pasted the wrong model number.
It't the JVC HR-S5902U, which is a SVHS deck. Not sure if it's a good one or not?Use your head, Side Step the Traps, Snake through the chaos with a SmoothNoodleMaps
