hello all,
When I encode my anime with XVID, I encode it with 640x480 2-pass at 1000 bitrate. (I denoise the video in the process). But, in high motion areas, it's getting very blocky. Can someone tell me how to correctly configure XVID or point out a good guide? I think im configuring it incorrectly.

1000 kbps may simply not be enough for your source.
Try this: change to single pass Quantization mode and use a Q value of 2. How big does the file turn out? That's how much bitrate you'll need to get almost no macroblocks.
