I have a canopus advc-55.
Using the LETS CONVERT that came with it.
On install it does not let you pick drive to install to.
After install and you pick the temp drive and all it still uses C drive for the capture file or temp files even tho in the setup I tell it to use my I drive (a 200 gig drive)
When I try to capture a VHS that is long it tells me that my C drive needs 55 gigs free and only has 12 gigs free.
Well duh. its the C drive. It shouldn't be used for it.
Really dumb programming by them or whoever wrote it.
I went thru the registry and didnt find a key/string to change it. Nor a ini file that specifies it.
Anyone know how to change it so it will NOT use the C drive for anything.
I hvae a 200 giger I want to use for the temp filesand captures not my C drive.
I tried WinDV but it won't capture this one VHS tape I have (Rob Roy) as one file. It breakes it up and I don't want that. ITs over 2hrs 39 mins long.
(I tried setting the WinDV to 1000000 the highest number it will accept).
Thanks
Mark
