  1. Hi, everybody

I am currently using DVD-lab pro to author my own short dvds.
However, I am a newbie in this authoring stuffs. Luckily, this forum help me a lot to get along with all my dvds created. Many Thanks to these authors.

Working with the program, I have noticed that the buttons, frames, shapes and templates in DVD-lab pro are quite limited.
And a lots of them with the appearances out of my favourites.

    My questions are

How can I create my own buttons and then import to the program as a templates?
    What software do I need?
Anyone know, pls helps or provides the links related to the topic.

    TQ in advance.

I create all my menus in photoshop, then import them into DVD Lab Pro. Simple and fast. There is a run down of how to create custom buttons and frames in the manual. The on-line version is here http://mediachance.com/dvdlab/Helppro/index.htm
    Look up Custom Buttons.
    Read my blog here.

  3. Yap, I am also using photoshop to create the menus. It's helpful.
But, it is still need the buttons to navigate in and within the menus.
The buttons come with the DVD-lab Pro are so limited and not so favourite.

I would like to have more variety.
The actual jargon to look up in the manual should be "Buttons" or "Combination buttons".

But, it needs another program from Mediachance, Real Draw Pro.

I am just not prepare to pay for it yet as I think it might have other ways to do it free.

Anyway, Thank you for providing me the information.

Ok, I really really love Realdraw and I think it's worth the money just for it's drawing abilities alone, and it pains me to tell you how to go about doing without it.... but here goes.

Make any graphic you want, button or frame. The trick is to get the background transparent and to save it as a .png file. Then open dvdlab, go to where the buttons are (or frames) right click on one of the buttons and choose import. Bingo.
