I have got a film that is in SVCD format and over 3 cds; when they are extracted from the bin they are this size:-
CD1= 709 MB
CD2= 726 MB
CD3= 709 MB
After I run the file through Remultiplex and Resample audio in SVCD2DVD the files are smaller:-
CD1= 632 MB
CD2= 647 MB
CD3= 632 MB
Normally the files get bigger; i have scanned through the files and they seem ok.
What causes this?
Will the files be missing anything?
ps Tried RC9b and the test version

This is unusual but not impossible. Usually there is about a 3% size increase for normal mpeg2 conversions (without standards conversion). I suppose there could have been a high padding factor in the originals (either streams or bytes) which were not required... If you want to upload one for analysis to the ftp server i could take a look.
SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
