Been here a couple of weeks back, I burn a ram disk with progs from SKY +, drag and drop the file to my HD and rename to .mpg as someone suggested to me before - great ok, but im getting a 'split screen' sometimes during the recording - watching in winamp its the same pic on both sides (screen splits 50/50 down the center and same image on both sides) and when in TMPGENC DVD Author one side has the image other is black - what have I done wrong?

Perhaps nothing. I ran into the same kinds of problems when attempting to use Panasonic VRO files from DVD-RAM. You may have to try some additional extraction/download methods to get the files to work for you. Try using SmartRipper, DVD Decrypter, even Peretek Simple File Joiner to extract the VRO's. The drag and drop method may not work for you.
