they are owned by REAL now ..
try this codec
http://www.codec-download.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=...title=ViVo_723
microsoft netshow also can play these if you install it
or there is the vivo play player also http://www.real.com/vivo/index.html"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
thank you for your prompt reply perhaps however i didnt make the question clear i can actually play the files with vivo player but that has little or no facilities and i'd like to convert the format to rm or wmv or whatever so i would then be able to edit them.
thank you -
yes - install the codec above and you should be able to convert them in various conversion programs

reboot - yes ,, but you might have to reg it also
if you dont have reg option in right click (i do) , in
start- > run -> regsvr32 "<path>\NameOfFile.extension"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
if that makes no sense to you - see:

The file is an .acm and will not register this way!
A simple restart should be all that's needed.Cheers, Jim
