Good news for Hamish Macbeth fans.

The "Hamish Macbeth" mystery series was a BBC TV staple in 1995, 1996, and 1997. It was very popular in Britain, somewhat popular in Australia and Canada, and barely known of on U.S. TV (but still had a following ... me among them).

Well, finally, the series is being released on DVD. The Season One DVD set will be released in September for £14.99:

You can advance order both together from Amazon.co.uk but there's no discount beyond the normal discount they give to each season set. I'm assuming Season Three will follow next year but don't know for sure.

Strictly Region 2 PAL for now. No word of any other region release (or in NTSC). Oh, well ... looks like I'll be buying more PAL DVDs.
