    I picked up my academic copy of Tiger today to load on my G5 Dualie over the weekend. I usually wait for the first update before converting to a new OS.

    What's been the experience of the group? I did a search and learned of some problems with older dvds but what about the other toolbox components like DeTOX?

    Actually the first update for Tiger came out 2 weeks after Tiger was released. You'll want to get the update to 10.4.1 after you install. MTR & DTOX work just great with Tiger, and no updates for those is necessary. Many other programs do have updates to work with Tiger so you'll have to track down the ones you need.
