  1. hi ! I have a bunch of mpeg files that I want to burn in a 8.5 GB DVD, the prob is that all the files are 9.1 GB is there a program that allows you to compress and then burn the files?

    Thanks!

If you have the files already authored to DVD format, you could use DVDShrink to resize it. This would be the easiest. This is assuming the files are all DVD compliant and ready to author.

Or re-encode them all to a smaller size (Lower bitrate) , which you probably don't want to do. And if your audio is PCM or MPEG-1, Layer 2, you could convert the audio to AC3 and save some room that way.

You will have to reencode one or more of the files. If this is just to archive, and not for playback, you could try zipping them instead.

What do you want to do with this disk ?

Try this guide, entitled "Shrink (transcode) MPEG-2 files using Rejig" - you can find it in the GUIDES Section (to your left).
    If in doubt, Google it.
