    I tried converting a WMV file to dvd. I ran the WMA thru TMPGEnc
    then I burn the files to a dvd using Nero6.6. The dvd would not play in my dvd player and PowerDVD did not reconize the files.

    Suggestions please....

    WMA = Windows Media Audio. Perhaps you mean WMV?

    After you encoded the files using tmpgenc, how did you author them ?

    I just used Nero to burn em to a dvd. I'm a rookie. This is my first time converting anything. What is authoring ?

    If you want to play it back on regular DVD players then you need to author it before burning. Hardware players that support RAW mpg's and Power DVD should have played it back fine as is though.

    Sure that there would be a glossary covering authoring somewhere around here?
