well, I am having a problem. I was trying to record from a DVD-R just to see how it would look and it comes out very pixelated.... I have tried backing up a couple of commercial DVDs (useing a SIMA Go DVD with good results) but DVD-Rs just look bad....I use decent media so I doubt that is the issue. what could be the problem?

Copying from dvdr to dvdr will yeild the same results.

Copying from commercial dvd to dvdr will result in some quality loss. To minimise quality loss, consider stripping out the extras, additional audio and even the menu.
