  1. I am authoring a DVD project with about 60 or so short clips.
What I have now, is a dvd with each clip designated as a title. (Title 1, Title 2, etc)
What I would like to do, is combine them all into a single title and have a chapter break at the beginning of each clip.

I am currently using DVDauthorGUI and Nero Express to burn the dvd.

What would be the best way to do this? Do I need any other programs? Perhaps a different authoring program?

The videos are all encoded as:
    MPEG-2 (duh) @ CBR 4000kbps .m2v
    Dolby Digital AC3 @ CBR 224kbps .ac3

I have found that I can combine them all and then create chapter points via DVDauthorGUI, but the chapter point editor is horrible and quite difficult to use. VCDEasy 's chapter creation is much more user friendly. (If any of you are familiar with the program...)

Sooo, basically, what I need is a better/easier way to create chapter points. Anybody know of an authoring program which is good at this?

yeah...... any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

  2. If you only need the chapter points at the 'clipbreaks', it can be done quite easy, as I believe DVDauthorGUI also accepts a chapter list from file. This chapter list can be created by adding up all the 'durations' of your individual clips:
    Chapter 1: 00:00:00.000
Chapter 2: duration of first clip
Chapter 3: duration of first clip + duration of second clip
    ...

If you dont know the exact durations of your clips, you may also try my Chaptereditor: https://www.videohelp.com/~gfd/ChapEditGFD_eng.htm
