  1. I am currently involved in the creation of a project for a local museum. we have 3 buttons mounted on the wall and when you press a button it fires an IR emitter at a DVD player, therefore it should be possible to play 3 different clips according to the button pressed....the IR emitter is programmed to mimic buttons 1 2 and 3 on the DVD players remote control...so far so good.....

now i have 3 vob files each of which is a respective clips i wish to play....i wrote these to disk using Encore and it has written them as 3 titles, i presumed this would be alright. But button 1 on the remote corresponds to chapter 1 not title 1, button 2 = chapter 2 not title 2, and so on.....

i have tried to recreate the disk and this is where i am having problems, how do i have 1 title and 3 chapters using the vob files that i have? and is it possbile after playing a chapter to return to the DVD menu ( which is a small animation hopefully prevent the dreaded plasma burn )

any help would be gratefully received

I'm assuming that you created individual timelines for each clip which is how you got seperate titles, If you put all 3 videos in order on the same timeline, and then added chapter markers for the begining of each then that should achieve what you are after.

I'm not at my work computer right now so i cant open up encore to figure out how you'd have it return to the menu after a chapter rather than the entire timeline but maybe somebody else can help you with that.
