  1. Hi

    Hoping someone can help.

I would like to copy some vcd's on to dvd-r. I've tried a few searches and found this guide http://www.digitalfaq.com/dvdguides/convert/vcdtodvd/vcdtodvd.htm

but i don't seem to get anywhere(i'am very new to this).

i've download dvd AuthorGUI, Iso Buster and i also have a freeware version of TMPGEnc. (I'am using CyberLink Multimedia Launcher to burn my dvd's)

could anyone point me in the right direction as to how to covert vcd to dvd using any of the above, or suggest any other programs i may be able to use.

    Thanks in advance.

Be sure that you are using TMPGEnc DVD Author (the authoring program) and not TMPGEnc (the encoder). If you have the right software then the guide should step you right through it. If you get stuck then let us know where.

Were they PAL VCDs in the first place? If so, TA may have made a PAL DVD. Or, vice versa?
    Have a good one,

That will not stop playing on the PC. I suspect the problem is somewhere else.

  7. I don't think that PAL or NTSC should be a problem as my DVD player is muilt regional.

I've decided to start again from the begining.

This time i've noticed that when i use TMPGEnc dvd author to burn my file to dvd, i open the file which i want and click write dvd i then get a message saying

"There is no VIDEO_TS folder in the specified folder. Cannot write this folder as a DVD" (I'm not sure if this appeared first time or not)

However when i click ok it still continues to burn the file onto the dvd.

    Could this be the problem???

  8. Right finally sorted the problem out, i needed to click output at the top of the screen so i could create a dvd folder on my hard drive which i could then burn to dvd.

    Thanks for everyones help.
