how to burn a DVD video in DVD-RAM media?

Hi guys.

Tools I have: Nero 5.5.x.x and Ulead DVDMF 4.0 disc creator.

I am out of DVD+-RW and have a DVD-RAM disc that I use for backup purpose only...

I need to test a VHS to DVD conversion I made.

I have already created the VIDEO_TS with Ulead MF4 and need to test it in my DVD player... Let's suppose that my DVD player CAN play DVD-RAM.

So, I have erased the files in media. How can I format the DVD-RAM media and burn it as a DVD video, like a DVD-R media using Nero or Ulead MF 4? DVD-RAM is already formatted in UDF2.0 format.

Can't you just burn a DVD Video and put the DVD-RAM disk in when prompted ?

The media is not blank... Nero reports zero free space so I have to reformat it, but do not know if UDF1.5, UDF2.0 or FAT32... I suppose a simple quick clean without reformatting is enough, but not sure

Also, it seems that Nero 5.X does not recognize DVD-RAM media to burn DVD video ...

Many silly questions, I know, but this is my first time I need to burn dvd video into a DVD-RAM media...
