  1. I would like to do import a jpg image as a clip in TDA. But, of course, it will only allow mpg2 streams so you can't do this. And, I don't want to set the jpg as a background image to the menu. Is there a way a jpg image can be converted to a format that will allow TMPG DVD Author to recognize as a clip like the other mpgs in the track? I reworked it in Photoshop so that it is 720 x 480 then encoded the jpg to mpg with TMPGEnc, but got the message "could not initialize decoder" when I tried to add it. Thanks.

Insert the image into TMPGEnc along with a silent WAV file and encode it, TDA will then accept it.
