    I have been trying to configuremy PC to send out an AC3 (DD 5.1) signal out to my receiver now for awhile. I have a coaxial cable running from my PC (SPDIF output) to my receiver and all i get is 2 ch (prologic) sound. I tried diff configurations with win media player and power dvd. Am i doing something wrong?

    Have you enable SPDIF in the audio options for PowerDVD?

    Also, ensure that the sound settings in Control Panel is also set to SPDIF.
